IGIIM Library

The library has a prominent role to play in supporting higher education to fulfill objectives of its institution. Students in higher education are to be provided with the facilities necessary for mastering the subject matter, techniques, skills, habits of thought, and methods of work in their chosen field. Classroom instructions alone will not provide all the opportunities needed for attaining all these complex educational objectives. It is here that libraries come to help students. The college library is a collection of sources, services and the building in which it is housed. It provides access to various resources in order to support teaching, learning and research activities.

The epicenter of in-depth reference, The IGIIM library is spacious and serves as primary learning resources centre. The library is well-stocked with a large variety of management, information technology, allied books, periodicals & journals both national and international. An ambitious plan to make the library fully computerized is in progress. A single computer catalogue system, CD ROMs, latest audio-visual equipment and an increased reading stock are some of the IGIIM modernizations plan to be implemented.

More importantly UGC network on-line library (INFLIBNET) facility is also provided to students of this college, first time of its kind in Bihar. Our College is a Member of DELNET Library network.

Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre is an autonomous Inter-University Centre of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.

INFLIBNET is involved in modernizing university libraries in India and connecting them as well as information centres in the country through a nation-wide high speed data network using the state-of-art technologies for the optimum utilisation of information. INFLIBNET is set out to be a major player in promoting scholarly communication among academicians and researchers in India. .
